There are certain methods and tips for maintaining the spa which involves usage of water and different chemicals and compounds and many other things. If the spa owner follows these techniques, he/she can ensure a good healthy environment and also quality service for their customers.

Water is the basic ingredient used in all spas and a lot of bacteria and other micro organisms float in the water which can create different kinds of infections and diseases. It is always important to ensure that the water is treated properly and purified before usage. For preservation of alkaline and removing the bacteria, shocking the water would be advisable. Make sure your storeroom of the spa is clean and free of dust. Be sure to provide proper ventilations and the temperature inside should be cool enough for the chemicals and compounds to remain in a preservative state. It is very important to remember not to use alcohol or drugs in a spa. The hot water can intensify the effects caused by alcohol and drugs and cause a lot of problems. In case you are in the habit of taking prescription drugs, it’s possible that your schedule might clash with your spa treatment. Under these circumstances it is better to take the advice of a doctor to remain on the safer side. To entertain yourself while having a long treatment, just go for some nice iced tea, cold drinks or fruit pulp.

Maintaining the heating temperature of the water is also essential. The reason being, spending long hours in hot water can produce adverse effects on the skin as well as the body. Following these guidelines can help you run a good health spa.
